Meet Mary
I worked as an educational assistant with the local school board for more than 11 years, helping elementary school students overcome difficulties in learning.
A graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a longtime volunteer with the 4-H program, I have long appreciated the important role that reading, writing and learning by doing plays in the development of young and old. As with most things in life, an injection of humor is also an essential ingredient in learning.
I find Foundations for Learning a rewarding place to work, providing practical building blocks for young minds and a welcoming and supportive environment for students and staff alike.
My sense of time well-spent includes conversations over a hot cup of tea and visits to antique and second-hand outlets.
