I have always enjoyed working with children. Watching children grow, learn and achieve their goals is a rewarding experience. I am a firm believer that when provided with the right tools and support, every child is capable of success.
I am a busy, dedicated mother of two children, with a passion for seeing every child succeed. I am thankful to have had employment opportunities which have allowed me with sufficient flexibility to raise my family over the past 12 years while also providing me with a dynamic learning and professional background.
Before having children of my own, I worked as an Educational Assistant within CCRSB for 3 years. I also had the wonderful opportunity to work as an Educational Clinician at Mariposa Reading Achievement Centre. Both of these positions have provided me with invaluable experiences and an understanding of how to help children, and in particular, children who need a little extra support.
Working as an Educational Clinician at Foundations For Learning is a wonderful opportunity. I am able to use my background knowledge while doing something I love. I am able to work as part of this team to ensure my students reach their potential and succeed within the programs offered.
I also enjoy dedicating my time to various volunteer activities. I have been a summer soccer coach and a volunteer Sunday school teacher. I have been a part of Home and School for 7 years and have Chaired the Stewiacke Town Days Committee for the past 2 years.
